What is PHX STREET FOOD

What is the Phoenix Street Food Coalition and who is it? It's new, the seed needed to be planted sooner than later.

PHX STREET FOOD:

Coalition (food vendors, local businesses, food enthusiasts, urbanists, etc) working together (phxstreetfood) to create an awareness(project) that will bring a positive light on how street food can help cities and local businesses thrive; it will help new vendors get started in the business; it will help current vendors get connected to new business opportunities (farmers markets, special events, etc); and the coalition will be a collective and collaborative effort of vendors, local business owners, cities, markets, etc, to bring entertainment and innovative events that are solely centered around street food.

For it to grow we need everyone to voice their opinion. If you have an idea or want to voice your opinion please do. Before you make a comment remember that Phx Street Food is a project that plays nicely with others (cities and the county) to create opportunities that we all can benefit from.

  5. WHAT'S YOUR GRIND Coffee Roasting has been moving fresh roasted coffee/beans in and around the Phoenix Farmers Market's over the past 3 years. The only thing we can't do is serve your coffee beverage through an IV. We love that this idea is taking off. "Coffee is a food, right?"

  8. LOVE THIS MOVEMENT!

If you are looking for another market to set-up "shop" at, with VERY reasonably priced vendor fees ($80 annual), consider the City of Goodyear City Market.Held the first Saturday of the month from October-May. Contact City Market Manager Amy at 623-882-7525. Like you all, we are new, last year was our first year and it was a huge success! We are back again this year and want to take it further.

We do have vendor criteria for this market to ensure variety and the best experience for both the vendors and patrons. But, looks like you all have unique offerings and should not be an issue. We have very limited spaces left though...

  9. Hi,

I was pleased to learn of the Coalition. I have observed that the interesting cities of the world (from my small experience) all have active street food cultures! Please strive to keep the coalition open to foods from different parts of the world and to new ideas from all social levels. I am going to look for your trucks and eat all I can! Thank you.
